Cosmetic procedures

Face lift

Collagen is a protein that is naturally found throughout the body and is responsible, in part, for keeping skin smooth and firm. As we age, this protein begins to break down and wrinkles, loss of facial fullness, and sagging and loose skin are just a few unfortunate side effects. Thankfully, there are many options to restore a youthful appearance to the face. A facelift is a popular surgical option for long-term and dramatic results.

A facelift tightens sagging or loose skin, reduces wrinkles, and restores a youthful fullness to the face. The right surgeon will delicately reposition the tissue underneath the skin for a smoother, firmer tone. Incisions are typically made near the forehead and are very discreet, especially after the healing period.

Brow lift

A brow lift restores a youthful appearance to the upper third of the face, not including the surrounding eye area. Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift reduces the deep vertical lines between the eyebrows, smooths wrinkles and lines of the forehead, and can even reposition the eyebrows for a well-rested look. It is common to receive a brow lift together with other cosmetic surgeries, such as a facelift.

Like any cosmetic procedure, your treatment is a joint effort between you and your surgeon. During your consultation appointment, you can expect to discuss your goals for treatment, as well as your medical history and current health status. From there, your surgeon can determine the type of brow lift procedure that is right for you.

To ensure you are as comfortable as possible, we will discuss and select the type of anesthesia to be used during your brow lift procedure. Most patients will undergo a brow lift procedure under IV sedation or general anesthesia; the type of anesthesia will be discussed and selected during your consultation appointment.

To perform a brow lift, your surgeon will create small incisions within the hairline. The underlying tissues are gently lifted into their new place, excess skin is removed, and the surgical sites are sutured.

Eyelid lift

As we age, skin begins to wrinkle and sag, which contributes to the signs of aging. The delicate skin around the eyes is a common area for the first signs of aging to appear and tend to progress over time. However, there are many options available today to restore that youthful, bright-eyed appearance! Also known as a blepharoplasty procedure, an eyelid lift can

Your surgeon will discuss your cosmetic goals with you during your consultation appointment. If an eyelid lift is recommended, you and your surgeon will discuss the surgical approach that is right for you. Factors such as medical history, current health, personal preference, and aesthetic goals will help determine the right treatment plan for you.

Your procedure will begin with IV sedation or general anesthesia. Once you are comfortable, your oral surgeon will use fine incisions around the eye area to gently remove excess tissue and lift the eye area. Once the skin is in its new place and excess tissue has been removed, the surgical sites are closed, and you will rest comfortably in recovery.

Face & neck liposuction

The sagging skin around the neck area can contribute to signs of looking older than you are. Many patients who have received treatment for their sagging skin around the neck have enjoyed a refreshed look to their face as they have received a more refined jaw and neckline and the reduction or even elimination of a double chin. Facial liposuction is a popular treatment option to provide a youthful appearance in a fast and effective manner.

Just like liposuction performed on other areas of the body, face and neck liposuction works the same way: it removes excess fat from a desired area. The procedure is performed using small incisions, the neck is contoured while excess fat is removed, and after the procedure has been completed the surgical sites are closed using a technique to minimize scarring. Sometimes, excess skin may need to be removed as well.

Facial implants

Whether the aging process has depleted youthful volume from your cheeks or you have always been dissatisfied by your recessed chin, facial implants can restore harmony to the face by bringing balance to these prominent facial features.

Cheek Implants

One of the natural signs of aging is loss of volume and sagging skin. For many, this means a loss in the midface region, which can add years to the appearance. Cheek implants can restore the volume that has been lost and create a more rejuvenated look.

Your surgeon will work with you to understand your cosmetic goals and design a treatment plan just for you. If you have decided on cheek implants, there are a number of different ways to receive one. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and most patients can expect minimal discomfort and a smooth recovery.

Chin Implants

A chin that is weak or recessed may benefit from a chin implant. A chin implant can improve the proportions of the face as well as emphasize the definition of the neck and jawline. It can also reduce or even eliminate the appearance of a double chin.

In general, patients undergoing chin implant surgery can expect a fairly quick procedure. It is an outpatient procedure performed with general anesthesia or IV sedation. Before your procedure, your surgeon will work with you to discuss your treatment plan and anesthesia selection. During the procedure, your surgeon will create a small incision for the chin implant to be placed. This incision will be made either underneath the chin or inside the mouth. The location of this incision will be decided in advance of your procedure, during your consultation appointment. For most patients, a chin implant procedure takes less than an hour to complete. Patients can expect a fairly smooth recovery, with most returning to their daily activities after one week.

Skin rejuvenation

Fight the signs of aging by giving your skin a much-deserved refresh.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels work by removing a layer of skin to reveal healthier, younger-looking skin underneath.

Many patients report a slight stinging sensation during a chemical peel, which may be more pronounced with a deeper treatment. A mild sedative with a topical anesthetic may be prescribed before a deep peel to remain comfortable and relaxed during treatment. Sun exposure immediately after a chemical peel should be avoided until the skin has healed completely.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

It is normal to experience loose and sagging skin as we age, but that does not mean that it is always desired. To restore that youthful elasticity, laser skin resurfacing reduces fine lines and wrinkles as well as treats scars, sun spots, uneven pigmentation, and rough skin.

The use of CO fractional laser technology encourages the production of collagen, the protein responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. The use of the laser peels away unhealthy and aging skin cells on the outer layer of skin, allowing the healthy skin underneath to be revealed. Benefits from the CO fractional laser may be experienced with just one treatment; however, some patients with deep scars and wrinkles may require additional treatments.
