Your First Visit to our Office
Jennie is our receptionist and has many years of experience in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She will schedule your consultation appointment and be able to answer many of the questions.

An appointment will be made for you and time will be reserved for you to meet the doctor undisturbed. Your initial visit to our office will consist of a consultation with the doctor. During this time your diagnosis and treatment options will be discussed with you. Your procedure will be scheduled for another day when all information has been gathered and all of your concerns have been addressed. Occasionally, surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan or insurance verification will require a second treatment appointment on another day. Some complex treatment plans require additional time for you to meet with the doctor and further address all your concerns and questions. We will be happy to arrange for extra time if you wish.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your surgical referral slip and any X-rays if applicable
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have medical or dental insurance, bring any document or information you think will be helpful to our staff in determining your benefits.
- Any medical or dental records you feel will be helpful in our treatment.
- Please alert the office during your initial phone call to our office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the consultation visit.
If you are scheduled for consultation and surgery on same day please be aware that a pre-operative consultation and physical examination is mandatory for patients undergoing anesthesia for surgery. Our doctors and staff will do their best to accommodate such arrangements; however, occasionally findings at the consultation may require delay of surgery. Please have nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to your surgery. You will also need an adult to drive you home.
X-Rays
If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office for your consultation appointment. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
